Turbosynth  was an innovative synthesis program released by Digidesign which used the flexibility of computers for sound creation and the hardware of MIDI samplers to replay the sounds. 

Turbosynth  was about creating sounds using a modular approach to synthesis. This technique has been used since the earliest days of electronic music, when analog synthesizers were programmed using patch cords. Modular synthesis provided complete flexibility - modules could be patched in any configuration, allowing the user to literally "design" any imaginable synthesizer architecture. 

NOTE

EIII sounds are delivered to you as .EB3 banks (E-mu EIII format).

E-mu Systems EIII banks will load into compatible hardware samplers as well.

(From 4 MB to 8 MB of RAM are needed depending on banks).
